Weekend Teaching Series:

The 30 Day Journey Part 4 “Commitment”

Val spoke this week at our high school meeting and did an awesome job!  She spoke about commitment and how important it is to plug in and serve in the church.  It was a great way to end our 30 day Journey series.

Here is the third installment of the “my 30 day journey” videos with Grace

Sermon in a Sentence:

You find true passion and fulfillment in life when you commit yourself 100%

This Week’s Scale of Difficulty:

5 out of 10. Since I didn’t speak this week, I wasn’t as busy preparing for the actual service, but I’ve been really busy preparing for our “March Madness” next  month.  Really excited about next month… expecting a lot of students to come out.

Attendance:

Still waiting for a final count from the “House Ministry”

Service Length:

115 minutes

Music Playlist:

Everyone (Praises)

You Are My Joy

All for Love

Savior King

What’s Important to You?

February 17, 2009 Jacob Wood Leave a comment

Things that we protect are things that we find important or give value to.  What is valuable or important in your life that you need to protect?  And what things are you protecting that shouldn’t be as important in your life?

A Few things that I need to protect…

  • My family time (time with my kids and dates with my wife)
  • My relationship with God
  • My sabbaths (time of rest)
  • My Health

A few things that I protect (value) too much…

  • Media (tv shows, movies, etc.)
  • Technology (iPhone, computer, audio, etc.)
  • Email (yep, I’m officially addicted)
  • Image (not just my own image, but my families and ministries image)
