Philly, the beach, DC and NYC

What do you do when your brother comes to town for 10 days and wants to see the world?

You go.  And then you go some more.

Over the period of 10 days, me and my brother’s families packed up and visited more places then the Discovery channel does in a day.  We went to Philly where we enjoyed a real “Philly” cheesesteak (which was OK, but not any better than our very own “Bubba’s) and some great historical visits.  We snapped many pictures and had tons of fun.  We then decided to spend a day at the beach (Rehobeth).  We quickly recovered and then decided to visit our nations capital.  I know, you can hear our kids screaming, but it was a great trip.  If all of that wasn’t adventuresome enough we took on New York City for 2 days (without the kids).  We caught a real Broadway show (Les Mis’) and ate a ton of greasy food followed by about 20 cannoli’s from a joint in “Little Italy”.  We returned home tired and 5 pounds heavier, but very happy.

It’s always a good time with my brother.  It’s funny how 15 years ago we were bitter enemies and now, can share a good laugh over a vendor hot dog in NYC.

One of the best ingredients for friendship is time.  There’s no way around it.
